Jim is experienced in a wide variety of practice areas including: general civil practice, trials, corporation law, real estate, oil and gas, probate and estate planning, family law, creditor bankruptcy, and guardianships.

Jim is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Champaign County Bar Association, the Lawrence County Bar Association, and the Crawford County Bar Association.

Jim is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Texas. He is admitted before the Southern and Eastern District Courts of Illinois. He is also a court-approved guardian ad litem.

Jim graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.A. in 1969. He attended law school at the University of Illinois where he received his J.D. in 1974.
